and  experiences  that  bring us  joy and  light.

 

We often forget that we are a part of nature just as much as the plants, the animals, the waters, and even the stars. 

By truly supporting the health of our own body, we are also supporting the health of the planet and the greater good.  

Melanie Johnson is a holistic health & wellness coach who helps women overcome emotional eating by phasing in nature’s whole foods, deconstructing cravings, harnessing self-care, and healing their relationship with their body.

Melanie also encourages eco-friendly living, and can provide education and strategies on how to do this in a way that is feasible for their individual lifestyle.

About Melanie

(EcoMotion Founder & Coach/Practitioner)

Since childhood, I’ve felt a passion to respect, honor, and preserve the planet and its natural resources. I grew up in a small town by Yosemite National Park, where I developed a deep connection to nature that I’ve carried with me through life, and this relationship to nature has significantly enriched my overall health and well-being.  I feel it is important for all people to find their unique connection with nature, and incorporate into their lives however they can.

 

I have also been a dancer since childhood, which led me to complete my B.A. in Dance from UC Santa Barbara. After college, I continued to enrich my love for movement and knowledge of the human body. I became certified in Personal Training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I then completed trainings in Hatha Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga with the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. I went on to study Reiki with the Usui Reiki Institute and the Jikiden Reiki Institute. Since that time, I have become a certified Health Coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. For the past several years, I have taught dance to preschool -12th grade in schools and dance studios. I have also taught yoga in yoga studios as well as a treatment center for eating disorders.

Nature provides an abundance of resources for us to heal, balance, and thrive in our bodies and our minds. I seek to help people learn ways to heal themselves through the natural resources available to us. I also strive to help clients connect with their intuition, and work with their body’s intrinsic healing systems. Through nutrition, coaching support, and movement, I will guide you through this process and into better health.
